What is Zentangle Art?

Zentangle art is an easy to learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. It is a fascinating new art form that is fun and relaxing. It increases focus and creativity. Zentangle art provides artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of personal well being.

We will practice on an easy zentangle today so you can get the hang of it.

There are so many more zentangles, tangles, and zen-doodles online. Some are easy and some are very complicated and elaborate. Whichever you choose, these are amazing forms of art.

I have also included several zentangle date banners I did in my journal last year (2016). You can see them in this post, along with our practice ‘How to” Zentangle for today. They are easy and lots of fun to do!!

How to?

The Zentangle Pattern
by Linda Farmer
Step by step

Start out your Zentangle with pencil and go over your zentangle with fineliner afterward. (See diagram) Then you can erase any pencil mark strays.

This should be fun and relaxing…don’t stress about perfect lines. Mine aren’t perfect either. Just go with the flow and have fun with it.

Soon you’ll be relaxing with these in no time. 🙂  A REAL stress reliever!

NO Stress…NO Perfection…Just let it flow

Wouldn’t it be great to carve out some time for YOU? Life is often so busy we don’t even think of what we need. There are so many things grabbing for our immediate attention, that we often fall through the cracks on self care.

Consider this an experiment in self care. Time to just slow down…and focus on YOU! A mini-vacation from the rat race.

A time to let your creativity fly. A time for YOU. A hug for your heart and mind, so you can go out there and tackle another day.

 Have you tried it?
